ALIENS?

Doug Naylor has INSISTED that there aren't any aliens in RD, and that all the weird spacey creatures originated from Earth..........
(note: some people say that the whole idea behind Red Dwarf was that there was "no such things as aliens" in Red Dwarf...but this discussion aims to weed out possible proof to the contrary and answer peoples queries as to this UI...also take a look at the "no aliens" FAQ...Thanx to Smegweb for telling us about this one)

"K-Plagh" (or yes, there are aliens)
"K-Tagh" (or no there aren't)

Alien, if taken to mean "different", is anything non-human. That'd mean Cat is Alien, as were most of the monsters
(Alien as in not from Earth, thankyou!)

Wasn't the GELF an alien?
(Nope, it's even said in the episode, they're from Earth)

Weren't the Psirens aliens?
(Nope, it's even said in the episode, they're from Earth)

(He also said the RD movie would be finished soon)

Most of the "alien" occurances can be explained away as originally from Earth at some point.
Using logical thinking, you can also prove that black is indeed white...doesn't make it any more true
(PS. Ignore the fact that I can't speak Klingon }-P)
Conclusion
So far, there is no real actual proof for or against the fact....at least, none that can't be discounted.
We'll still be arguing this one for a while!
